1: Arrive in Thiruvananthapuram

On arrival in Trivandrum
(Thiruvananthapuram),
transfer to Kovalam which
is just 16 km from Thiruvananthapuram.
Check into the hotel.Overnight

2: Kovalam
Spend the day at leisure
by the beach. Overnight
at Kovalam.
Kovalam:
Located 16 km south of
Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum)
city, Kovalam is one of
the most beautiful and
famous beaches world-famous
beach resort, which has
been a favorite spot for
tourists since 1930s.
This beach has lovely
coconut palms fringe the
golden sands. Kovalam
is the best place for
relaxation. It has three
different beaches of which
the Lighthouse beach is
the most famous beach.
Ayurvedic treatment is
another attraction of
Kovalam.

Morning after breakfast
proceed to Kumarakom,
Kumarakom the charming
emerald peninsula jutting
into the ever-effervescent
Vembanad Lake takes you
into the heart of the
scenic lake where you'll
come across plenty of
traditional country crafts,
boats and canoes. The
fresh water of the lake
runs into the mainland
making a labyrinth of
lagoons, brooks, canals
and waterways. The backwater
houses a variety of species
of both fauna and flora.
They are rich with marine
life namely the exclusive
'Kumarakom Karimeen' (pearl
spotted fish), Konju (tiger
prawns), Njandu (crabs),
Chemeen (prawns) and many

R-Block, where one can see below
water level cultivation, night
anchoring at the shore.

6: Kumarakom-Munnar (Distance
200 Kms & 5 hrs Drive)
Morning after breakfast
proceed to Munnar , following
a journey through spectacular
countryside. you will arrive
in the hill-station of Munnar
, situated in the heart
of the Cardamom Hills, at
an altitude of 1700m. Munnar
is surrounded by endless
green, rolling hills and
30 of the world's highest
tea estates. Check into
the hotel. Rest of the day
free to relax or stroll
around the tea garden. Overnight
at Hotel.
Munnar: Munnar - breathtakingly
beautiful - a haven of peace
and tranquility - the idyllic
tourist destination in God's
own country. Set at an altitude
of 6000 ft in Idukki district,
Munnar was the favored summer
resort of the erstwhile
British rulers in the colonial
days. Unending expanse of
tea plantations - pristine

Day 8:
Munnar - Thekkady (Distance
100 Kms & 3 hrs Drive)

After breakfast depart
for Thekkady (about 100kms/03hrs)
through the cardamom hills
of Idukki. Check into
the hotel. Afternoon we
explore the Periyar Wildlife
Sanctuary which spreads
over 777 sq km, roughly
half of which is dense
evergreen forest, savannah
grassland and moist deciduous
forest. The forest was
declared a tiger reserve
in 1978 under Project
Tiger, and so the name
Periyar Tiger Reserve
is sometimes used to denote
the place as well.
Periyar: One of the largest
wildlife reserves in India,
the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
is more popular as a tiger
reserve. A boat ride on
the splendid Periyar lake
is the best way to experience
the sanctuary.The Periyar
Wildlife Sanctuary is one
of the few places where
the chances are pretty high
that you will spot an elephant
in the wild at close quarters
and from the safe confines
of a boat. Not just elephant
and tiger, but if it's your
lucky day, gaur, masher,
otter and other wildlife.

9: Thekkady
In the morning you can enjoy a
boat ride in the Periyar lake
. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is
situated on the banks of the Periyar
lake. The pride of Kerala and
a testimony to nature's splendor
and human innovation. - an artificial
lake, at Thekkady. Here the high
ranges of the Western Ghats are
clothed in dense evergreen, moist
deciduous forests and savannah
grasslands. Below this thick green
canopy roam herds of elephants,
sambars, tigers, gaurs, lion tailed
macaques and Nilgiri langurs.

9 - 10: Thekkady - Cochin
(Distance 190

After breakfast, transfer
to Cochin. On arrival
in Cochin, check in at

Afternoon, visit Cochin
- the city of lagoons.
Visit the Dutch Palace,
St. Cruz Cathedral, the
church of San Francisco,
the Bolghatty Islands.
Afternoon, free for individual
activities.
Kochi
(Cochin): An all time
tourist favourite, Kochi
is the commercial capital
of Kerala. It has to offer
palaces, forts, beaches,
backwaters, old churches,
snake boat races, Kathakali,
museums and the convenience
of the big city.
Kochi is just about the
center of Kerala. It is
basically a collection
of islands and narrow
peninsulas. Ernakulam
is the commercial center
and forms the main land.
It has a fine natural
harbour around which the
city has grown. Kochi
is the famous port, trading
between India and the
rest of the world. Attracted
by trade and its liberal
laws, many foreigners
have made this their home.
